firstly, i absolutely love these pants and am in no hurry to let them go. they are priced thusly. i'm guessing they are from the 1960's- that seems fairly likely. maybe the 1950's? perhaps the early 70's? they are super thick and extremely heavy duty motorcycle pants. i used them as overpants for my daily commute and for extended jaunts thru the deserts of California. they will keep you very warm, offer outstanding wind protection and at one time were very water repellant. they could use another oiling for water repellancy. of course they have 30 inch exposed zippers on the side so they will never be proof. i had these modified, customized, bubbified at johnson leathers here in San Francisco. - 4 inches in length added to legs with velcro enclosures. easily removed to return to 'stock'.. - 4 pockets added in hips and knees to insert armor. i'm keeping the knees (just the armor- the pockets stay) and giving you the hip armor. all zippers, snaps and velcro work perfectly. pants pockets are sound with little wear and no holes. rear pockets are unusual- brass snaps. haven't seen that before.. pants are lined and clean. no whoopsie stains, odors or weirdness inside. i'm skinny. 5'11", 165 lbs and these fit really well over my jeans. a little more snuggly with armor inserted, but still some room to spare. there are 2 small holes (pictured). one near back right pocket and one on lower left leg above newer leather. there are some scuffs, dings and what not from actual real world used. but no tears or deep gouges or worn spots to threaten integrity or safety or looks. the original langlitz rivet in crotch has fallen out. i did not clean or pretty these prior to photographing. these are awesome pants. super sturdy, thick yet soft leather. really convenient to put on and take off. and they will protect you. if you ride a lot, or are into vintage yet still highly functional gear or simply like to play dress up you may want to consider these. examine the pictures and holler with any questions or requests. take care, doug
